Environmental committment has increased substantially, both globally and in Sweden, and is something we are all aware of. Every day we hear about the negative impact on th environment. Car Care also is an industry that can have a negative impact if the operation is not managed properly. We at Ditec have declared a number of objectives and guidelines and are actively working for a cleaner operation with minimal environmental impact.
Strategies for a cleaner environment
Legislation
Ditec complies with the laws and guidelines applicable to our industry. It sets guidelines to the way we work and how the products is to be used as well as what products we choose.
Reduced environmental impact
Ditec do not use stronger products than necessary to achieve a satisfactory result. We use if possible products that are fully biodegradable and others only when specifically needed for. Over dosing will be avoided by the right dosages of products in the working process. We demand that our suppliers are in the forefront when it comes to environmental issues of their products. Swan Label marking and approval by an Swedish environmental authority called Chemical Svepet ensures this.
Trained staff
Each Diteccenter ensures that their staff has undergone proper chemical knowledge and is updated on the current environmental legislation and guidelines. Environmental programs with SDS and work guidelines must be available and all staff should know where they can access it.
Clean emissions
Ditec has a policy that our waste water from car washes is clean by using the available technology. Oil separators are a minimum and it should be emptied at least 2 times a year and a filling alarm mounted. Water Recycling and our own sewage treatment is carried out if we have a huge volume of cars to wash.
Certification
Over time, Ditecs members should strive to be certified or get a diploma to ensure thorough environmental commitment.
